Example laser jobs

Cut from the shop’s metal, billed by the area each part uses; standard lead time, picked up.

While laser rates are being finalized, laser prices are estimates: approving a laser quote sends an order request, the shop confirms the price by email, and then you pay online. Nothing is charged until you agree.

What you pay for

What drives the price

Your quote shows each part’s price and the total before you approve the proof. These are what move them.

CNC routing

Cutting length
Outlines and cutouts are priced by the inches the bit travels, at a rate set for each material.
Holes
Drilled holes are priced per hole by size; hinge cups, shelf-pin bores and connectors per operation.
Pockets & dados
Priced by the material they remove, with a small minimum per feature.
Material
Billed by the whole sheets your parts nest onto, so parts that share a sheet share its cost. Bring your own sheets and a handling fee replaces it.
Quantity
From 5 identical pieces, the cutting gets cheaper — see the table below.
Speed & delivery
Faster lead times add a share of the order; local delivery is a flat fee.

Fiber laser

Cutting length
The inches the beam travels around outlines, cutouts and slots. Thicker metal cuts slower.
Holes & pierces
Holes are priced per hole by size, each with its pierce, like drilled holes on the router. Every other cutout starts with a pierce too, so a part full of small holes can cost more than a bigger plain one.
Etched lines
Priced by length, like cutting.
Metal used
Billed by the area each part uses — its outer size plus a little cutting space — never more than the sheets it’s cut from.
Setup, handling & quantity
Setup and programming is charged once per design, not per piece. Each piece carries handling for taking it off the sheet, sorting and packing it, which grows with its size. Each laser sheet the job uses adds loading. From 2 identical pieces, the cutting gets cheaper.
Speed & delivery
The same speeds and delivery as routing.

Quantity breaks take a share off the cutting of identical pieces of one design; material, setup and handling aren’t discounted. A faster speed adds its share of the order before delivery. Local delivery across the Las Vegas valley (Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas and Boulder City) is $45 flat, free on orders of $500 or more. Pickup is free, by appointment.

Small orders

How minimums work

Orders have a $95 minimum. If your parts come in under it, the minimum sets the price of your parts, before any rush charge or delivery, and the quote says so — that room can take more parts at no extra cost.

For example, the one-off steel bracket above is priced at the $95.00 minimum. Add more parts to the same order and the minimum stops mattering.

Spend less

How to lower the cost

  • Fill the sheet. Routed material is billed by the whole sheet, so extra parts on a sheet you’re already buying add only their cutting. One 24 × 12″ sign blank is $132.95; ten on the same sheet are $23.66 each.
  • Order identical parts together. Cutting gets cheaper from 5 pieces of one design on the router and 2 on the laser, and laser setup is charged once per design.
  • Use the thinnest stock that does the job. Thinner sheet usually costs less, and thinner metal cuts and pierces faster.
  • Engrave or etch instead of pocketing where a line will do — and on laser parts, merge small holes where the design allows, since every hole is priced on its own.
  • Choose standard lead time and pickup. Faster speeds add a share of the order, and delivery is a flat fee unless the order is $500 or more.
  • Bring your own sheets for routed parts: the quote swaps the material charge for a handling fee per sheet. Laser parts are cut from the shop’s metal.

From file to parts

How quoting and payment work

  1. Upload a DXF, SVG or STEP file to the CNC routing quote, the laser cutting quote or the plasma cutting quote. No account is needed to get a price.
  2. Check the features we read from your file, then pick material, thickness and quantity. Each part’s price and the total update as you go.
  3. Approve your proof and pay online by card or US bank account (ACH). For laser and plasma parts, approving sends an order request instead: the shop confirms the price by email, then you pay online. Nothing is charged until you agree.
  4. Your parts are cut at the speed you chose. Lead time counts business days from when payment clears; orders paid by 3 PM Pacific on a business day join that day’s schedule.
  5. Pick up at the shop by appointment, or get local delivery in the Las Vegas valley.

Quotes are valid for 30 days. The total shown is what you pay at checkout — no sales tax is added. Need an invoice or a purchase order? Contact the shop with your quote number.

Pricing FAQs

How much does CNC routing cost in Las Vegas?

It depends on the part: how far the bit cuts, its holes and pockets, the material and how many sheets your parts need, and the quantity. At today’s rates, a 24 × 12″ sign blank in 3/4″ Baltic Birch is $132.95 for one or $236.63 for ten ($23.66 each), and four base-cabinet sides with a dado and a rabbet are $250.07 — standard lead time, picked up. Upload your file to the CNC routing quote for its exact price, part by part and in total.

How much does laser cutting cost in Las Vegas?

Each laser part is priced on its cut length, each hole by its size, its pierces and any etched lines, plus setup and programming once per design, handling for each piece and loading for each sheet the job uses, and the metal it uses is billed by area. At today’s rates, a 6 × 4″ flat steel bracket in 1/8″ Mild Steel (A36 / CRS) with four holes is $95.00 for one (the laser order minimum) or $469.93 for 100 ($4.70 each). These are estimates while laser rates are being finalized — the shop confirms your price before you pay. Upload your file to the laser cutting quote for an exact price on every part.

How much does plasma cutting cost in Las Vegas?

Plasma parts are priced the same way as laser parts, and the plate each part uses is billed by area. At today’s rates, an 8 × 8″ steel base plate in 3/8″ Mild Steel (A36 / CRS) is $95.00 for one or $203.42 for ten ($20.34 each). These are estimates while plasma rates are being finalized — the shop confirms your price before you pay. Upload your file to the plasma quote for an exact price on every part.

Is there an order minimum?

Yes. Orders have a $95 minimum. If your parts come in under it, the minimum sets the price of your parts, before any rush charge or delivery, and the quote says so. For example, the one-off bracket on this page is priced at the $95.00 minimum.

Why do more routed parts cost less each?

Routed material is billed by the whole sheet, the way the shop buys plywood and plastic. One 24 × 12″ sign blank still uses a whole 48 × 96″ sheet, and ten of them fit on that same sheet — so one is $132.95, and ten are $236.63 ($23.66 each). Fill the sheet and each part costs less. Laser metal is different: it’s billed only by the area your parts use.

Do you charge a setup fee?

Routing has no separate setup fee — programming is part of the cutting price, and the order minimum covers very small jobs. Laser and plasma parts include setup and programming once per design — not per piece — so a run of identical parts pays it once.

How much is delivery in Las Vegas?

Local delivery across the Las Vegas valley (Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas and Boulder City) is $45 flat, free on orders of $500 or more. Pickup is free, by appointment.

Do faster lead times cost more?

Yes. Standard (5–7 business days) is the base price; Fast (3 business days) adds 35% and Rush (next business day) adds 75% to the order, before delivery. Lead time counts business days from when payment clears; orders paid by 3 PM Pacific on a business day join that day’s schedule.

Can I get a price for your other services?

Yes. Every other service on our services page is quoted on request: send a drawing or file and the shop replies with a price. Instant online quotes cover CNC routing, fiber laser cutting, CNC plasma cutting and 3D printing; the other services don’t have one yet.

Are these the prices I’ll pay?

They’re priced by the same engine as the instant quote, at today’s rates, for the example parts described on this page. Your price depends on your own file — its size, cut length, holes, features, material and quantity — so upload it for an exact quote, with each part’s price and the total, before you order. Laser and plasma prices are estimates until the shop confirms them. The total shown is what you pay at checkout — no sales tax is added.
