Build a shape
Start with a simple shape and enter your dimensions.
STEP keeps its model’s depths. Simple DXF and SVG parts are priced right away — we ask only when something needs a look. How we handle your files
Getting your file ready — 5 quick checks
- Draw parts at full size (1:1), in inches or millimeters. If one comes in the wrong size, use “Size wrong?” on its card.
- Close every outline — a gap means the shape can’t be cut. Join lines into closed shapes before you export.
- Shapes inside a part are cut all the way through. For pockets, dados, drilled holes or engraving, put them on layers named like POCKET-0.25, DADO, DRILL or ENGRAVE.
- Turn text into outlines (explode it, or convert to curves) — live text isn’t cut. Layers named DIM, NOTES or TITLEBLOCK are skipped, so leave dimensions there.
- STEP files keep their depths — you’ll just pick which face we machine.
